This is your next best on-the-go salad recipe, it’s salad/snack cum lunch. It’s a crunchy, nutty, fruity salad that not only fits the bill but is also very light on the tummy. A bowl of this awesomemazing salad is just above 100 calories and it promises to keep you satiated for hours.

You can take it to office or let your kids try it for their school lunch, just keep the wet ingredients or the salad dressing ingredients in a tiny plastic container and pour over the fresh ingredients whenever you are ready to eat. This surely tastes awesomazing! Simple, quick, easy and oh-so-satisfying. Since it requires very few ingredients so try to find the best fresh ones. I use Almarai Premium Feta Cheese for this recipe for its amazingly salty, creamy, melt-in-mouth texture.

This salad is an excellent option for those who would like to shed a few extra pounds. Have a boiled egg with it, throw in some thinly diced cucumbers, diced apples, a few boiled-shredded pieces of chicken or maybe some leftover meat from yesterdays dinners and there you have it, a proper meal, that not only looks pleasant to the eye but tastes amazing also. You can even add sweet corn, green bell peppers to this salad recipe for variation, but we love it as it is, we often add thinly sliced cucumber or apples if pomegranate is not available.

Don’t let simple ingredients fool you, this salad recipe is packed with fresh, fruit flavors. We tried this salad for the first time at a local restaurant, and loved it so much that we had to recreate it at home instantly. Since then, we’re totally hooked.

I’ve tried it with both store bought and homemade imli ki chatni/tamarind chatni and it tastes equally good with any of them. You guys, please don’t be fooled by the simplicity of this salad recipe, give it a try and let us know if you make any changes in it, we would love to hear from you.

Happy cooking!
