If you are in a hurry but you HAVE to cook a dish for lunch/dinner in a matter of 15 minutes. Or if some unexpected guests arrive right before lunch/dinner and you need to not only think fast but cook something fast as well, well this Ginger Chicken recipe will definitely save your day and time also π
You will fall in love with itsΒ flavour, its simplicity and its quickness, cook it yourself and prove me wrong on this otherwise.
What you need
Chicken boneless————————– Β 500g or1/2 kg
Salt——————————————– 1 1/2 tsp or according to taste
Red chilies———————————- 1 1/2 tsp or according to taste
Sliced ginger——————————– 2 tbsp
Ginger—————————————- 2 tbsp thinly sliced (not in paste form)
Yogurt—————————————- 2 tbsp
Tomatoes———————————– 3 large
Green chilies——————————- 2- 3
Oil——————————————– 1/2 cup
Milk——————————————- 1/2 cup
Mint leaves (fresh)———————— 2 tsp
How it’s made
- Okay first things first (duh!) you have to cook this chicken dish on medium to high flame.
- Take 3 large tomatoes, and throw them in your food processor or blender and try not to crush them completely into a fine paste, just process them till the tomatoes are crushed slightly into a chunky mixture.
- Take oil in your pan and throw in thinly sliced ginger.
- Cook it for 30 seconds to 1 minutes, the ginger shouldn’t get brown or something.
- Throw in slightly crushed tomatoes into it and give it a good mix.
- Cook it for 2 minutes and throw in chicken pieces.
- Cook the chicken for 3 minutes, stirring occasional y on a high flame, DONOT COVER.
- Add salt and red chilies and mix again.
- After 1 minute, mix in yogurt.
- Cook for another 3 minutes or until the gravy dries a bit.
- Once it dries a bit, throw in slitted green chilies whole and pour in milk.
- Give it a good mix, lower the flame from high to medium and let the oil come on top.
- Once oil comes on top and you have a thick gravy, add finely chopped mint and enjoy with naan or tandoori roti, this stuff is addictive, seriously π
I’ll be waiting for your feedback and your love π Do remember me in yourΒ prayers.
Thanks you leemz!
You are welcome saba π
Hey Leemz!
Your recipes are amazing!
I have a request… could you please post
a recipe for chicken spaghetti?
Jazak Allah Noor, thank you for visiting. π You’re so lucky because the recipe that I was about to post is “Red pasta” π hope you like it. This recipe uses chicken sausages, you can use boneless chicken pieces as a substitute. However I will be posting another chicken spaghetti recipe after Eid also, insha Allah! And please join our facebook also http://www.facebook.com/thechefinme/
Haha, I saw the recipe! Loved it! Just what I needed π
Also, looking forward to the new spaghetti recipe…
I have two more questions… hope you’ll answer them soon!
1. Can I get chicken sausage at like a regular grocery store and which
brand did you use?
2. This is about your coffee toffee dessert. I wanna know if after making
the condensed milk into creme de leche can we stick the can in the fridge
and make the dessert on like the next day?
Thank you so much, and advance Eid Mubarak!
hehe Khair Mubarak! π Thank you for your questions.
For sausages, try K&N’s deli line Chicken sausages and I swear they didn’t pay me to say this, which btw they should lol anyways, try to pick the plain ones first, not the stuffed with cheese ones.
Yeah sure, in fact if you leave the can UN-OPENED in your fridge, you will feel some tiny crunchy bits in your Dulce de leche, Just remeber do not open the can, once you open the can, try to use it the same day or transfer the toffee to another bowl or something. This goes for all tinned products btw.
And also this is Dulce de leche, crema de leche is something else π
Haha, thank you so much!
And yeah, dulce de leche, my bad!
π and please like our page on facebook as well http://facebook.com/thechefinme/
