I like all vegetable except lady fingers, I don’t know why, but I just don’t like cooking/eating ’em. Kinda disgusting, eating your own fingers, eww! eek hehe

Since it’s kachnar season, meaning kachnar is in season duh! and they are quite expensive this time but may God be pleased with our lovely aunt who gave us two loaded packs of kachnar that are now chilling in the freezer.

Btw what’s the name of kachnar in English? :S

What you need

Kachnar———————— 1/2 kg Boiled
Beef boneless——————- 1/2 Boiled
Tomatoes———————– 250 g
Onions————————– 2 medium sliced
Green chillies——————-  4 finely chopped
Yogurt————————– 1 cup
Red chili powder—————- 2 tsp
Oil—————————— 1 cup
Turmeric powder—————- 1 tsp
Coriander powder————— 2 tsp
Salt—————————— 1 tsp
Garlic/ginger paste————– 2 tsp
Garam Masala powder———– 1 tsp

How it’s made

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add onions to it. Cook till it turns slight brown add boiled meat, cover.
  2. Throw in tomatoes and give it a good stir, cover for 10 minutes. Once tomatoes are done, bhoonofy, cook for 5 more minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Now add yogurt, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala, red chili powder, salt and garlic/ginger paste, mix well.
  4. Dump in boiled kachnar and keep the flame at lowest, dum form and of course throw in finely chopped green chillies too, done dana done done! 🙂
